Happy Valen-times

Best wishes from The Flop House!

Today’s Flop Story!

Max Fun members: CHECK THE BONUS FEED for part one of an ALL NEW “SlopTales,” role-playing arc! Last time Dan, Elliott, and Zhubin Parang were the hapless staff of a seaside restaurant during the busy summer season! This time gamemaster Stu has sent our food crew to a tent on the beach, where they’re trying to win the annual crab cake competition!

Flop House Valentines

Because we’re never ones to let a good bit die, here are another round of Flop House Valentines to send your beloveds this year!

Next on the Podcast

2/14 - Speaking of John Travolta — for our Valentine’s episode, what could be more romantic than a discussion of HIGH ROLLERS, the film where Travolta does a whole heist, just to save his movie-wife Gina Gershon, and… Okay, fine, we didn’t really realize this would release on Valentine’s Day. BUT it’s a hell of a fun episode, thanks to longtime fave guest host Jordan Morris. Love really IS all around.

2/21 - With the Oscar nominations out, and the ceremony approximately a month away, Elliott gives us this mini all about BEST PICTURE WINNERS. We know they’re the best, because the Oscars told us so, and they cannot legally lie. But which are the BEST of the best?

Plugging Away

Flop TV Season 3 is sadly over, but you can still watch ALL of the episodes thru February before they’re packed away in the vault for a while! Individual tickets and season passes are both available!

Elliott continues to make the podcast rounds, to discuss his book, Joke Farming: How to Write Comedy and Other Nonsense, but also just have fun and gab about nonsense — you know, what we call “The Elliott.” He was just on friend of the show Andy Beckerman’s podcast “Beginnings.” (And if you like Andy, check him AND his hilarious wife actress/comedian Naomi Ekperigin out on our Mortal Kombat episode, and listen to the show the pair does together, Couples’ Therapy!).

Stuart paints Warhammer models/chats with viewers most Fridays on his Twitch channel. If you’re in Brooklyn, drop by the holy flop bar trinity of Hinterlands, Minnie’s, or Commonwealth. Or do a podcast pub crawl!

Dan just appeared on the excellent “What a Cartoon!” podcast, from the creators of the equally-excellent Talking Simpsons. He was there to discuss one of his strange fascinations, and one of the ultimate 80’s cartoons, Jem! It was truly, truly, truly outrageous.

You Made it to the End!

Here’s a collage of your Flop-Valentines through the years!

Aging… not too bad, all things considered.
